Brie Carmack is set to begin her first season as an assistant coach with the Bucknell softball program. She joins the Bison staff after spending one season on the staff at Covenant College.

Covenant College, a Division III school and member of the USA South Athletic Conference, registered 11 wins during Carmack’s one season as an assistant coach. Prior to that, she spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Eastern Illinois. During her time there, the Panthers won the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference championship and finished 2014 with a 38-17 overall record.

Carmack earned her master’s degree in sports administration, kinesiology and sport studies while coaching at Eastern Illinois. She received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Jacksonville University in 2011. While at Jacksonville, she was a member of the softball team and twice received Atlantic Sun All-Academic honors, as well as NFCA All-Academic recognition.

“I am confident that Brie will step in as our second assistant and make an immediate impact,” said Bucknell head coach Courtnay Foster. “She will work with our offense and outfield, while also contributing to recruiting efforts. She is eager and ambitious, and I believe her skills and knowledge will balance our staff and elevate our team.”
